Miss Molly’s Cafe & Pastry Shop is looking for a dependable, organized Wholesale Production & Delivery Assistant to join our growing wholesale team.

This is a hands-on position supporting the daily production, packaging, and delivery of orders for our growing wholesale program. Each shift includes a combination of food assembly, packaging, order organization, and local deliveries to our wholesale partners.

Schedule & Shift

This is a part-time position working 3–4 days per week, approximately 8:30 AM–1:30 PM.

The regular workdays for this position are Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Sunday and Monday are required, while there is some flexibility with Wednesday and Friday depending on availability and weekly staffing needs.

Candidates should be available for at least 3 of these 4 days each week, including both Sunday and Monday.

Shifts begin at our bakery at 9211 W. Center Street. A typical shift will include:

• Finishing, packaging, labeling, and organizing that day’s wholesale orders

• Loading the company vehicle and completing an assigned delivery route to our wholesale partners

• Returning to the bakery after deliveries

• Assembling and preparing wholesale menu items for the following day’s orders

Exact end times may vary slightly depending on order volume, traffic, and the delivery route that day.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wholesale menu items, including sandwiches, salads, parfaits, and other prepared foods

• Portion, package, label, and organize products according to customer orders

• Check completed orders for accuracy, quality, and presentation

• Organize and load orders into the company delivery vehicle

• Complete assigned local delivery routes safely and efficiently

• Provide friendly and professional service when delivering to our wholesale partners

• Return to the bakery after deliveries to assemble and prepare products for the following day

• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace

• Assist with light food prep and other wholesale production needs

• Communicate product shortages, order discrepancies, or delivery issues to the Wholesale Manager

• Follow Miss Molly’s food safety, quality, and presentation standards

What We’re Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record

• Comfortable driving a company delivery vehicle and making multiple delivery stops

• Dependable and punctual

• Organized and detail-oriented

• Able to work efficiently and independently

• Comfortable preparing and handling food

• Friendly and professional when interacting with wholesale partners

• Able to lift, carry, load, and unload boxes and food orders throughout the shift

• Previous food service, kitchen, catering, production, or delivery experience is helpful, but not required

Position Overview

Miss Molly’s Cafe & Pastry Shop is looking for a dependable, organized Part-Time Production Baker to join our growing bakery team.

This position supports our daily bakery production and expanding wholesale operation through a combination of baking, ingredient preparation, packaging, and general production tasks. We're looking for someone with baking experience who can work independently, follow established recipes, and move efficiently between tasks.

Schedule & Hours

• Hours: 15–20 hours per week

• Shifts: Primarily afternoons, beginning at 12:00 PM or later

• Days: Flexible based on availability and production needs

• Monday availability is not required, but earlier shifts may be available on Mondays

We are happy to work with the right candidate to establish a consistent schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cookie doughs, pastry components, and other baked goods

• Scale ingredients and prepare items for upcoming production

• Assist with assembling and finishing pastries, including hand pies and galettes

• Tray, egg wash, portion, and package bakery items for wholesale orders

• Prepare fillings, jams, flavored butters, and other ingredients

• Organize and maintain ingredient and finished product inventory

• Complete daily cleaning, sanitation, and organizational tasks

• Support the bakery team with additional production needs as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous professional baking or commercial kitchen experience preferred

• Ability to accurately follow recipes and production instructions

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Comfortable working independently and managing time efficiently

• Dependable, adaptable, and willing to assist with a variety of tasks

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

About Miss Molly’s

Miss Molly’s Cafe & Pastry Shop is an independently owned Milwaukee cafe and bakery specializing in made-from-scratch pastries, breads, breakfast, and lunch. In addition to our cafe, we serve a growing network of wholesale partners throughout the Milwaukee area.

A minimum of one year counter server experience is required. Barista experience is strongly preferred but not required. The ideal candidate is personable, hardworking, professional, and self-motivated. Candidates must be comfortable with multitasking and working in a fast paced environment.

We are looking to fill 2-3 shifts per week, mostly weekdays, however weekend availability may be needed at times. The shifts are either 7-3pm or 9-3pm. Duties include but are not limited to:

- Take orders at the counter and over the phone with accuracy and efficiency

- Ability to multitask pouring beverages and fulfilling bakery orders while engaging with customers and taking their orders

- Assist with side work tasks such as making house beverages, stocking, running orders to tables, rolling silverware, etc

- Participating in general cleaning tasks such as doing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and bussing tables
