A note to those applying who are in high school

We require any students who apply to be available for a minimum of one weekend day per week during the school year. If you do not have any prior work experience in food service or retail, or are under the age of 16, we automatically start you in the position of “support staff”. The duties of this position include cleaning, doing dishes, running food, and assisting our chefs.

We’re currently hiring for the following positions

  • We are expanding our bakery operation and building a team of dedicated bakers. We are looking for the right candidate to lead a small team.

    Three years of experience working in a commercial bakery or restaurant pastry department is required. Applicants must have a solid foundational knowledge of various mixing methods and how to follow recipes written for bulk production in weight form. Candidates must be comfortable working at a fast pace while still maintaining quality control. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating excellent product, has attention to detail, has a strong work ethic and enjoys working with a small team but also has strong self-management skills. We are a from-scratch kitchen with a rotating seasonal menu.

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    - perform the morning bakeoff in a timely and efficient manner

    - production of bakery items including but not limited to cookies, scones, muffins, cakes, breads, frosting, jams

    - basics of cake decorating

    - perform weekly inventory and place pastry related orders

    - maintain food cost percentages put forth by the owner (tied to quarterly bonuses)

    - maintain quality control of all bakery items

    - develop recipes with the oversight of the owner

    - must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis

    - must be able to stand for the duration of an 8 hour shift

    Daytime hours and weekend availability required. This position has a set schedule of 5 consecutive workdays, 5am-1pm. We offer competitive pay, paid time off, and free shift meals. Only serious applicants with the required skills and background need apply. Please send resume.

  • A minimum of one year counter server experience is required. Barista experience is strongly preferred but not required. The ideal candidate is personable, hardworking, professional, and self-motivated. Candidates must be comfortable with multitasking and working in a fast paced environment.

    We are looking to fill 2-3 shifts per week, mostly weekdays, however weekend availability may be needed at times. The shifts are either 7-3pm or 9-3pm.     Duties include but are not limited to:

    - Take orders at the counter and over the phone with accuracy and efficiency

    - Ability to multitask pouring beverages and fulfilling bakery orders while engaging with customers and taking their orders

    - Assist with side work tasks such as making house beverages, stocking, running orders to tables, rolling silverware, etc

    - Participating in general cleaning tasks such as doing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and bussing tables

    Base wage + tips. Starting wage is based on experience.
