We welcome high school students who can commit to at least one weekend day per week during the school year. We are currently hiring For:

  • Full-Time Pastry Cook/Assistant Pastry Chef

    Miss Molly’s Cafe & Pastry Shop – Milwaukee, WI

    Pay: $18–19/hour (based on experience)
    Schedule: 35–40 hours/week
    Shifts: 5am–1pm or 7am–3pm (early mornings and Sunday availability required)
    Reports to: Head Pastry Chef

    Position Overview

    We’re seeking an Assistant Pastry Chef with a solid foundation in professional baking to support daily production. This is a hands-on role best suited to someone who already understands the basics and is ready to work within established systems while continuing to refine their craft.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Produce pastries, cookies, muffins, bars, and cakes from scratch

    • Scale, mix, shape, bake, and finish items with consistency and care

    • Follow established recipes, prep lists, and production standards

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace

    • Assist with labeling, packaging, and bakery organization

    • Communicate clearly with the pastry and cafe teams

    Required Experience

    • At least 1–3 years of professional baking or pastry experience (or relevant culinary training)

    • Comfort working independently once trained within established systems

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to execute recipes accurately

    • Ability to handle early mornings and weekend shifts

    • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

    • Team-oriented mindset and respect for shared kitchen standards

  • A minimum of one year counter server experience is required. Barista experience is strongly preferred but not required. The ideal candidate is personable, hardworking, professional, and self-motivated. Candidates must be comfortable with multitasking and working in a fast paced environment.

    We are looking to fill 2-3 shifts per week, mostly weekdays, however weekend availability may be needed at times. The shifts are either 7-3pm or 9-3pm.     Duties include but are not limited to:

    - Take orders at the counter and over the phone with accuracy and efficiency

    - Ability to multitask pouring beverages and fulfilling bakery orders while engaging with customers and taking their orders

    - Assist with side work tasks such as making house beverages, stocking, running orders to tables, rolling silverware, etc

    - Participating in general cleaning tasks such as doing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and bussing tables

    Base wage + tips. Starting wage is based on experience.
